Jodie Hunter is a Professor of Mathematics Education at Massey University. Her research has been undertaken with Pacific diaspora communities in Aotearoa New Zealand and in nation states in the Pacific region. This includes leading a transformative research and professional learning initiative designed to meet the needs and aspirations of Pacific learners in mathematics education


Prof. Hunter has received multiple international and national awards for her work and research projects. Jodie takes a leadership role in Pacific education in Aotearoa New Zealand including chairing the Pacific Education Foundation board and as deputy chair of the New Zealand Council of Educational Research
