Professor Sushil Kumar is an accomplished researcher and educator with 30+ years of experience in space and atmospheric physics, climate change impacts in the atmosphere, ionosphere, natural hazards, and sustainability. He has more than 17 years of administrative experience at various levels at University of the South Pacific (USP).

Professor Kumar is a member of several international professional organizations. He has served the USP Senate and Council for over six years, and as a senate member at the National University of Vanuatu for 3 years (2021-23). He has a proven ability to develop/revise programs, provide leadership, and successfully build and maintain relationships with national and international partners/collaborators.
