The Pacific Academy of Sciences will host an online information session to support nominators and prospective nominees preparing submissions for the 2026 PAS Fellows Round, which opens on 1 July 2026 and closes on 31 July 2026. The PAS Fellows Round recognises outstanding Pacific scholars across all disciplines, including the natural and social sciences, humanities, technology, and Indigenous knowledge systems, who contribute to the leadership and direction of the Academy.
The session will provide a clear overview of the nomination process, including eligibility criteria, assessment pathways, required documentation, and guidance on preparing a strong and competitive nomination. Presenters will also outline the purpose of the Fellows Round, the Academy’s expectations of nominees, and common areas where nominators seek clarification. A short Q&A segment will follow.
This session forms part of the Academy’s commitment to ensuring an inclusive, transparent, and region‑wide nomination process that supports participation from across the Pacific.
Session details:
Thursday 25 June 2026, 10:00–11:00 (NZT)
Online via Microsoft Teams
