The State of SIDS Report 2026: Defending the Special Case provides a comprehensive, evidence-based assessment of the opportunities, priorities, and challenges facing Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Bringing together insights from policymakers, practitioners, and researchers including PAS Fellow Prof Yvonne Underhill-Sem and members Dr Eliorah Malifa and Dr George Carter. The report examines critical issues including economic development, social inclusion, infrastructure and energy, environmental sustainability, and climate adaptation and reinforces the importance of sustained international cooperation and tailored support to ensure a resilient, sustainable, and prosperous future for SIDS.
